Monster Blood booboo
Nov 9 2006, 12:08 PM EST I started to read this book but couldn't finish it. I think the author is trying to make the reader empathize with the main character through his innocence and naiveté, but the author went too far. This kid is number than a hammered thumb. I felt bad for him when he made his first mistakes but after a while I started to think this kid is too stupid to breath. Maybe I should have continued to read and seen him grow through his trials and tribulations but I couldn’t connect with the character. I started to cheer for the monsters. <eg>. This is just my opinion. Others may enjoy this book. Give it a try.

RE: Monster Blood booboo
Jun 8 2007, 2:03 PM EDT I will admit that this book was a little hard to get into, but it was really good. I think that it has some good lessons and I can not wait to read it with my book for kids. I also liked this book for its challenges such as haveing to read the glossary at the end at the same time to fully understand the authors ideas.
