NEVER READ THIS BOOK! There is no plot to the book. There is so much detail, too much detail. It is one of those books where you read and don't get what is going on and when you get a summary it is like "I read this, I don't remember this, do you?" LAME LAME LAME LAME BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriouly, this is not one of those I didn't read the book so I'll just tell a lie to all these people. DON'T WASTE YOU TIME!!!!!!!!!!

It was exciting and suspenseful, except for the part about Luna's family which was pretty lame. PD

I started to read this book but couldn't finish it. I think the author is trying to make the reader empathize with the main character through his innocence and naiveté, but the author went too far. This kid is number than a hammered thumb. I felt bad for him when he made his first mistakes but after a while I started to think this kid is too stupid to breath. Maybe I should have continued to read and seen him grow through his trials and tribulations but I couldn’t connect with the character. I started to cheer for the monsters. <eg>. This is just my opinion. Others may enjoy this book. Give it a try.

I will admit that this book was a little hard to get into, but it was really good. I think that it has some good lessons and I can not wait to read it with my book for kids. I also liked this book for its challenges such as haveing to read the glossary at the end at the same time to fully understand the authors ideas.

Bridget Jones Diary was a tremendously funny book and the audio version was especially good -- the sequel was disappointing. If you think you know this book because you saw the movie, you don't. The book is much funnier, and more touching, than the movie.
I also liked GGtHaF, but I don't think it exhibits the same comedic timing that Fielding brings to Bridget Jones.

This was one of the funniest most wonderful books I have read in a long time. Having cooked in a tiny NY apartment -- and now most grateful for my spacious NH kitchen -- I am dazzled by Julie Powell's ability to take on such a project and survive. Her husband is also amazing. The fabulous image of a person practicing omlette flipping on a NYC street would make this book worth reading even without all the other great parts.
