Katie Fforde specializes in stories about disorganized young women who pull their lives, romantic and business, together, usually with lots of humor and always a happy ending. This novel is about Perdita Dylan who created a new life for herself rural England, growing vegetables and selling them to local restaurants after a painful divorce. Perdita is horrified to learn one of her biggest customers, a smart hotel, has a new chef- the ex-husband her broke her heart. To make matters worse, he is the latest television celebrity chef and wants to film the shows in her picturesque cottage. As Perdita struggles to protect her heart and her independence, she learns how much she has changed--and so has Lucas. Entertaining and satisfying, a very well read story.
