When two teenagers meet at a Dante contest in Venice they quickly become friends. After Helen’s shady father unsuccessfully tries to scam a powerful magician he involves Helen in trying to retrieve a much sought after mysterious painting. Jake helps recover the painting then is forced to flee with Helen as sinister forces conspire against them.
