Dogs of Bedlam Farm
The Dogs of Bedlam Farm: An Adventure with Sixteen Sheep, Three Dogs, Two Donkeys, and Me by Jon Katz
Jon Katz did what many of us would love to do; left the suburbs and retired to the country with his three dogs. He buys a farm in upstate New York and a small herd of sheep for his Border Collies. His many adventures include persuading his inexperienced dogs to rescue lost sheep, fitting in with the locals, surviving a brutal winter, the dynamics of a three dog pack, and life or death dramas of lambing and ailing donkeys. There is humor and introspection, a classic thought provoking Katz work. Readers who like James Herriot will enjoy this book.
