You will be enthralled by this marvelous story of a strong-minded woman who takes her children on a westward journey in search of their errant father. The story is narrated by Shay, her oldest boy. Along the way they face many struggles: obstreperous mules, marauding grizzly bears, blizzards, and hostile Indians.
The story is lent credence and atmosphere by Will Patton’s superb reading in a soft western drawl. One of the best readings I have heard in a long time.
