Are Men Necessary? When sexes collide by Maureen Dowd
Fans of Dowd’s NYT sharp tongued, quick witted columns and television commentary will delight in this uninterrupted feast of her opinions on everything from feminism (where did it go?) to beauty (Botox is the real WMD) to Bush (perhaps we ought not go there). But rather than shame men this book takes women to task for allowing
the hard earned advances of their foremothers to slip by the wayside and for wanting look like Jessica Simpson rather than think like Madeline Albright. The only thing better than reading Dowd’s book would be to have her sitting across the dinner table for a nice long chat.
